Secretary Report

Meeting called to order:  7:00 pm

President Report (Tom Horton):  Bob let club know that Tom and JoAnn Horton’s daughter-in-law had surgery today.

Governor Report (Bob Hall):  Bob let club know Kirsten and Bill Hawes’ daughter-in-law passed away.  He also let us know that Harry Zientek from CCM, Ken Sumner from CCM, and Henry Scheil from RCWM also passed away.  There was a moment of silence.    There is now Michigan Regional apparel. If interested go to Michigan Region website. Loss 17 % of the membership on national level. NCCC cards should receive in the mail.  Convention in Syracuse NY this year in June 20 to 26.  Michigan Region Awards Banquet is Saturday, March 28. Bob donated the $ 35 for door prizes for Region Banquet.  In the Michigan region, the competition season starts on April 18. Corvette Crossroads in Mackinaw City is going to be located downtown this year and not on the dock.

Secretary Report (Mary Hall):  Mary briefly reviewed the December Secretary Report. Motion made by Bob Whiton and seconded by Rob Kehoe to accept the December Secretary Report.  Motion carried.

Treasurer Report (Jill Bailey):  Jill read balance in the Treasury and let us know how much is in the Scholarship Fund.  Mary Hall made a motion and Chris Penzer seconded to accept Treasury Report.  Motion carried.  Jill informed us that Dave Fulks and Mary Hall reviewed account activity for 2025.  They reported all is good.

Membership Report (Mike Lysher): Mike read No Wedding Anniversaries in Jan., Feb. or Mar.

Birthdays: Jill Bailey Jan. 1, Donna Janos Jan. 17, Kim Graham Feb. 8, Doug Pohlod Feb. 17, Mike Lysher Feb. 28, Gary Drago Mar. 3, Robert Graham Mar. 10, Joe Babiasz Mar. 20 and Chuck Fast Mar. 21.

Webmaster Report (Gary Drago): If you have issues getting on to members only please let me know.  I want to put more news into the site this year on both general & members only.  Please submit via email any events you want to have added to the season.

Committee Reports

 

Sloan (Donna Janos):  Sloan Car Show will be at Crossroads Village this year.  Car Show is June 14.  FCC will be in charge of an entrance.

Corvette Reunion (Gary Drago):  We will be scheduling a meeting in late March, early April when everyone is back in town.  No changes as of yet.

Scholarship (JoAnn Horton):  None

 

Old Business

  • Sponsor FCC: Bowman no longer sponsoring.  Mary will send a thank you note to Bowmans for all the years they sponsored us.
  • Birthday cards: To save money Board decided not to send out cards this year.  Membership was told they could override this decision with a motion.  No motion was made.  Ralph has cards and stamps left for this purpose.  He will continue sending cards out until he is depleted.

 

New Business

  • Car Show at Lamb of God Church: Board considering a car show at Lamb of God Church. After discussion, instead of car show do a car cruise there in May.  It would be considered a FCC social event for May.  Jill will do research on what dates will work for the Church.
  • Corn Roast Sat. Aug 1 after the 14 events being putting on by Jackson and Battle Creek clubs at Birch R989.kjun Raceway.

 

Motion made by Chris Penzer seconded by Rob Kehoe to adjourn.  Motion carried.
